Understanding Crash Alerts

Ride Buddy's crash detection works in three stages: an acceleration spike triggers a check, GPS and gyroscope data corroborate the event, and a period of stillness or chaotic motion confirms it.

If a likely crash is confirmed, you'll see a "Possible Crash Detected" screen with a countdown. If you're fine, tap "I'm OK" before the countdown ends to cancel the alert.

If the countdown reaches zero, Ride Buddy automatically sends an SMS with your location to your configured emergency contacts.
